I've had same dream since I was a child and had it again today. In today's dream their was a large group of people walking and I was out in front of the group floating about eye height. I've read a couple things on the subject so far and they seem to suggest that something meaningful is just ahead and our life will take it's course. But, I can control which direction I can go in and wake up by clapping my hands or snapping my fingers. I'm curious to see where it takes me but the dream never seems to last long enough to find out. I think I'm at the place where I don't want to wake up early or change direction, I want to see where I drift to. I don't want to fight my destiny but control helps me remain calm.
