I don't know exactly where she was born but she was the goddess of agriculture and her daughter was persephone who got taken bye god of the underworld. Her father ate her and all of her siblings when they were little then regurgitated them when they got older because he thought that they would turn on him. She was the 2nd eldest of her brothers and sisters. I know all this because I am doing a report on her and I find this info in book, so if you don't believe me go to your local library and look this stuff up.

Demeter is a goddess from the Greek Mythology. The literal meaning of Demeter is Mother earth or distribution mother. She is known as the Goddess of Harvest or Goddess of Grain and fertility. I'm not really sure where she was born but she has TWO daughters and THREE Sons. No one really knew that they onle heard of her daughter Persephone but then again that can just be another MYTH
