Why do people believe when there is no evidence to prove God's existence and so much proof against it?

We do not " prove " negatives, so there is no evidence " against " god's existence.

You are correct in saying that there is not a scintilla of evidence for any god(s) and there never was.

It is comforting to believe that everything has a plan, that no matter what, things will end up well if you follow a certain dogma. Chaos and oblivion are terrifying concepts to comprehend and accept, especially to early man. In our history, it was always the religious leaders that held the answers to the universe. Those leaders today are challenged by science and theories such as evolution and (400 years ago) the heliocentric theory.

However this does not mean the god does not exist, it does disprove the events and "facts" in the bible. The bible was written by ancient man trying to understand the origins and meaning of the universe, and is easily debunked by modern man. But you cannot debunk the possibility of a higher being. In the same way that you cannot prove god, you cannot disprove him either. Modern religion is wrong in how they define a god because it cannot be defined. If there is something outside of our universe, there is no way to prove it, no way to disprove it, and no way we can  possibly comprehend it within our bounds of science and mathematics, nor spiritually.

Simply put, modern religion is wrong, but you cannot prove or disprove god.
Look into the Schrodinger's cat experiment and poke around a bit. You may be surprised with what you find.

Yes, I read that, but you were responding to someone else's question, not mine. I understand all about Schrödingers cat, and as I said, it's a different philosophical point, and completely unrelated to the general argument you are making, sorry.

It is if you only scratch the surface. This was an invitation to discover something beyond the very surface. The Schrodinger's cat experiment has a lot of implications. If you were to dig deeper as I suggested, you would find that one of these implications supports the argument of some sort of being beyond our perception.

Like I said, poke around, do some research before you completely dismiss this.

To this day with so much of atheistic "noise" around there was not a single conclusive proof that God does not exists.

Make no mistake, Darrin's evolution is a form of religion.


To look for ANY TRUE information about God in this world one must only seek that information only from among God's Chosen People - the nation of Israel (aka jews).
