Before I perform in front of a large group of people, I do a quick breathing exercise: Inhale for 7 second through the nose, hold my breath for 4 seconds, then exhale for 8 or 9 seconds. After I do this 2 or 3 times, my heart rate slows down, my nerves disappear, and I feel ready to do anything!
