As I see it -
There is a book you might like to read called "Beware the Night" by Officer Ralph Sarchie - its written by a NYPD cop and its about all the supernatural things he witnessed while working the night shift, including witches/spells, etc. He wrote the book as non-ficiton, and it also talks about how he witnessed some people that were possessed and saw a cardinal doing exorcisms.
The book was made into a film called "Deliver us from Evil" - but the book was very much better as the film changed the story and made it different.
