Do you really believe that Jesus was born December 25? Because I googled up his real birthday and it said April 17.

Unless you can find his birth certificate, you'll never know. Maybe it's stored with Obama's birth certificate.

Nobody knows when he was born, Megan. Nobody really knows IF he was born. There is so much legend entwined with the foundations of Christianity that we can never be certain.

No he was not born in December. The church chose that date to celebrate his birth because it coincided with many winter festivals. The church found that if they allowed people to still have their celebrations they were easier to convert to Christianity.

Over the years I have heard Jesus was most likely born anywhere from April until July. With that said, Christmas was never suppose to be Jesus' birthday. It is the celebration of the fact he was born at all.

No one actually knows  the date of Jesus' birth.  Since the shepherds were out with their sheep it certainly wasn't in December.  What's important to me is that we celebrate the birth of Jesus.

His birth cannot even be put to a year, much less a day. From the stories, and the conditions described, it had to have been spring or early fall, and it had to be before 6 BCE or the year 4 CE.

No, he was born during sukkot (festival of tents) which would have been in mid september of that time. (sukkot was when Christ "came to live with his people")

the roman catholic church/papacy hijacked christmas to entice the pagans into joining christianity.
