Yes, I have a tendency to understand work related things on the first try. Retaining information for school, no problem.

On a personal level sometimes my heart has had a harder time accepting things that my brain already knows.

Yesterday, someone very lovely explained something to me that my heart finally heard.

My biology teacher was explaining the ins and outs and likely outcomes of offspring based on the parent's genetics. I was having difficulty with the subject so she tried explaining it in another way. I swear I heard a giant SNAP when I suddenly understood. I love that "AHA" moment!

My husband and I bought a trailer and I needed to know how to back it up. (My husabnd still can't do it.) I asked several people and the all told me I had to turn the wheel the opposite of what I normally would, and I understood that part. My question was how not to go too far and jack knife it. No one could answer me. I called my, who used to be a truck driver, and he explained when you reached the arch you needed to steer into the arch. Why no one else culd say that was beyond me.

I've encountered a similar situation, Blu. It's amazing when you get someone that actually understands the concept enough to explain it so you understand it as well. Thank you.
