I cannot find any reference to the Star of David in the bible, here are some verses with the words in, which may or may not be helpful

The Seal of Solomon is depicted similarly.

The decision to adopt the shield of David in comparison to religious texts is fairly recent.

The hexagram is used in "magic" and has a history in Egypt, and with the druids in reference to a sun god I think. But I cannot find any text with reference to the Shield of David so cannot ascertain its goodness or evilness.

I never stated or even implied that I personally believed the symbol to be evil. I don't. It's one of my favorite religious ikons. I believe as my Church teaches (Catholic) that it really is the Royal family Coat of Arms for David and his descendants. Thus it is the family emblem of Mary as well as her Son Jesus Christ.
