But since there would then be no shortage of money, its use as a medium of exchange would be limited and we would experience hyperinflation simply abandon money as a medium of exchange and (maybe) go back to using large wheels of salt to buy stuff.

That is not the point. Having someone step in and fix your life doesn't teach you anything. Life is full of opportunity to prove yourself, and by someone fixing all the problems will not only just delay them coming back, but usually will increase them later. People then expect someone to fix them for them, and they try to get away with more.

The only "problem" I would CONSIDER solving would be WMDs ... And that would simply be a matter of changing the laws of physics.  No alteration of "free will" required.

First off, such a great and interesting question Ty.

There are two scenarios that come to mind. One is that
the two tasks conflict . . . It literally has God being the Custodian for
mankind. The “Problems of the Day . . . “ are a direct result of “Man’s Free
Will” . . . See the dilemma?

So let’s go with first scenario . . The Supreme Being
Doesn’t care. In this, IT would create all things and walks away to let things transpire as they will. This would be the only true way that “Free Will” was indeed . . . FREE. This is known as Deism and many of the Founding Fathers chose to see creation in this manner. Now although it takes care of the whole Free Will thing, it loses any need for Worship . . . Caring, or love

Second scenario would be the illusion or façade of “Free
Will”. If I’m a Supreme being with the 3-“O’s” (Omniscience, Omnipotence, and Omnipresence), I would be PERFECT. Perfection is inherent of the first 2 “O’s” . . . If you set up a Plan based on complete knowledge of what will be . . . There is no Free Will. You could create façade for your creations. In this, the situation could be “Created” to look like there are multiple choices, but since you’re a Supreme Being with 3-“O’s” there would be no substance to any of the other choices since you already know you creation wasn’t going to pick them . . . This way it looks like they have choice, but really it is all as foreseen and has been part of the Plan from the beginning. We could delve deeper into why a Supreme Being would build a Plan around choices that WILL be made (They Wouldn’t) . . . But then that just shows how illogical the whole concept of “Free Will” and Omniscience is . . .

He's already answered that question if you've known Him personally long enough to have some idea how He works.

Of course, if you are just reading the Bible and think you can figure it out without being in touch with Him---well, that's what I would call intellectual "self-pleasuring."  (But, of course, I do not judge you for doing so----after all, He created us as both intellectual and sexual beings.)  Believe anything you want; beliefs are both vertically and horizontally buttressed psychologically speaking, but trying to make sense out of why we believe what we believe can be torturous.

I have found that He works primarily through us insofar as the creation of which we are aware is concerned.  He has invited us to freely ("free will") to cooperate with Him in the establishment of the Kingdom of God.

And again, He works in the complete mode of being, versus the only current one of which we are directly aware---this existence on earth. Exactly how what we choose to do and what we choose not to do is eventually incorporated into our full mode of existence---which includes both our temporal and eternal existences---is unknown to us, but I bet it's really going to "blow our socks off." (There's the "omniscience.")

Trying to fit the concepts of free will and omniscience into our heads can be difficult, especially when space is so frequently limited. (Should have kept those wisdom teeth for storage I guess.)

On the other hand, Theology and Sanity by F J Sheed gives you some ideas on how to accomplish it.

If I were "creator for a day," I'd rock along the same way.  I like this onward and upward path He's got us on.

And if omniscience seems to conflict with free will, I'd suggest one  spend a considerable amount of time on the concept of "predestination" to learn more about it.

I would have another asteroid hit the Earth to obliterate most life. Then in a few millennia, life will start anew with the innocence of a new born baby. If this keeps happening, maybe mankind will eventually get it right.
