If someone you know was shot in the leg, could you pull out the bullet if it was necessary to save their leg or life?

Yes I could ! Never pulled a bullet before but have pulled hunks of shrapnel out before. Had them pulled out of me also.

I would have no problem doing that!

Absolutely. I have no problem with blood or emergency situations.

If I had to, I could and would. Now wanting to is a different story. I'd be worried about making it worse.

This is something of a tangent to your Q, but President James A. Garfield died an agonizing 2 1/2 months after an assassin shot him.

It is believed he could have survived with the bullet inside his body, but being the President everybody was poking around inside his wound with their fingers and the sepsis is what killed him.

It's no biggie! !! Doing it depends on the situation.

1.If it's completely matter of life and death.

2.If there's a specific reason that why can't we go to the hospital/ or/ if the hospital is way too far to make it.

3.If my involvement won't make the condition worse due the deepness, the crashes and pieces of the bullet and it's involvement toward bones and arteries.

4.Where the bullet hit! If taking it out would cause extra unstoppable bleeding, if it's in one piece or cracked into pieces within the skin and fleshes.

I'm pretty good at detaching from gross in order to get something done. Even if I did faint or puke a few times, I'd get it in the end.

I'm not a medical professional so no. I'd rather call for the hospital and ask them what I need to do while they get to us.
