Yes it's true. Our purpose is to do our best to leave the world better when we leave. Most succeed but some don't even try.

Yes we do.  We're all unique and special individuals.  It is up to each of us to enhance what we have to offer however.

Dear Ryann Movie Lover,

I might phrase it differently...maybe more that we each have an indispensable place in the tapestry of life. I don't think we need to search for our purpose, more just to live what is in front of us...

My good friend says "to play the hand we are dealt."

Absolutely . . The best part is the discovery of this purpose. For each one of us it is TBD . . . To Be Determined . . . By . . YOU!

I agree with Ancient Hippie though . . . On your way to fulfilling whatever it is you think is your purpose, the the very least you should leave a small carbon footprint, and contribute what you can to the betterment of mankind . . .

It's true we each establish the purpose of our lives. I once read somewhere- Meaning in life "is not something discovered, it is something molded."

Probably a bumper sticker.

Yes we do, and it is recorded in the pages of the bible. 1Timothy 2:3,4,  "This is fine an acceptable in the sight of our Savior, God, whose will is that all sorts of people be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth."

What a great question. I have heard many say that there purpose in life is to be a good person, be great parents, raise obedient children. I have also heard many say that they want to get the most out of this life that they possibly can.  The bible outlines our purpose at John 17:3 telling us to get to know God and his son Jesus. This can result in everlasting life. One filled with true lasting happiness, not the temporary spurts of happiness that  many of us experience today.

hm, who told you that? Nobody can prove that but people tend to think that we need to have something just to make our lives not that pointless.  The aim is what makes us different. True or not true is the general question. Answer what purpose you think belong to you.

Our purpose is to find our purpose as individuals, to find "your thing" whether it's making art or helping pit bulls or anything in between. But overall I think the main idea of "your thing" is to make a difference that outlasts you for at least a while, light a fire in the world that isn't blown out by your last breath.
