A beach walk with the one that got away.

It's hard to pick, but I'd say beach walk because I don't get to go to the beach very often :)

We like our vacations at the beach and we always make a point of walking along the sand at sunrise.

This can be a bit tricky at times.

A few years ago I took my camera down to the beach to get a photograph of the sunrise and although it got lighter and lighter the sun just didn't come up. Eventually I realised that I was on Australia's south coast and that I was waiting for the sun to come up over the Antarctic.

Seniors' moments can be so illuminating.

Where I live you can do both, and as hot as it has been sunrise is the best time to walk on the beach.

When I was 15, my mother decided to move us to a Mission in Florida.

This particular Mission, housed felons just out of prison. Gave them 3 squares and a cot . . . The only payment, church 3 times a week, 2 Bible studies a week, and Prayer every morning at 5 am on the beach watching the sun rise.

I was expected to be an example of a good Christian and get up with them, and share in this event (as well as all the others). While I look back . . . Being on the beach and watching the sun rise was ALWAYS a memorable experience. I appreciate nature and try to never let moments like that pass me by.

One of my most memorable mornings involved having been up (well awake at least) all night and then lying in bed and watching the sunrise together with each of us holding a glass of a 1971 jahrhundert's  year wine from the Mosel valley in our hand.

The sunrise was stunning, but still in second place on the day.

Hi
Roy! It will definitely have to be a beach walk, but when it’s not sunny. I
just cannot stand the harsh rays, it’s like am allergic or something! I
normally end up with lots of spots following excessive sun exposure. Watching
the sunrise will hence never be an option that I will consider.

The beach is fine, but make it a sunset.  I, in almost 71 years, have never seen a sunrise I liked.  I am NOT a morning person.
