The only term I know that might be the right one is host or, more usually, heavenly host. The term is certainly often used in religious writings to refer to angels collectively.

Inolder English the word host could mean "army"; it comes from the Latin hostis, "Stranger or enemy." So originally the phrase "heavenly host" would have suggested an army of angels.

I hope this helps.

I couldn't have put it better myself. The group word for angels is host, and your derivation from the Latin is 100% too!
