The name Eliza is a name with multiple origins but the meaning of the name in all Hebrew, German, and English origin is the same. The name means “My God is a Vow”. This name is most prominently used in English speaking countries so the name can be given to a Muslim baby girl

The name Eliza has seven variant forms that include Aliza, Alizah, Elizah, Elyza, Elyzza, Elza and Liza.

Eliza definitely is not a muslim name. It neither is mentioned in the Qur'an nor in the Hadeeth or elsewhere. Why don't you name your daughter MERYEM. This is a truly muslim name which there is no doubt about. Why are modern Muslims constantly trying to feign names that resemble Christian ones and then claim it is muslim???

Eliza is NOT a muslim name it comes from 'Elizabeth'. Can't understand why muslims are trying to claim it. There aren't even any references to Arabic.
