I think.. Its much more better to use some christian character puppets made of hard paper... You may use some jews outlook or even Jesus then... Show them that the outlook of the board seems like a story telling...
I think that Noahs ark would make a nice theme. They could name the animals, count by 2's, discuss what the animals eat, what the baby animals are called. You can even discuss weather and rainbows.
