Why do teenagers turn away from religion?

Many teenagers see religion as something unrelatable and old fashioned.  Not all religious organizations are this way, but many do not want to change to fit the times.  Therefore, younger generations do not see the point in the them and no longer follow their traditions nor attend their services.

I think teenagers are more likely to turn away from religion these days because it isn't the central focus of society as it once was, and this means kids aren't being brought up with religion in the home either.

Whether that's a good or a bad thing is up for debate though...
