What mythical creature do you wish existed?
I kind of wish / hope that the awesome Viking mythology was real, all of it it to be honest. I hope when I die Valkyries take me to the eternal land where I prepare for ragnorock with all the other einherjar's engaging in daily battle, and if slain I return only to emerge back the the next day, helping my comrades and head awesome dude Odin in the mighty conquest at vígríôr hopefully sucseeding!
How about a "Werewolf". We see pics of many different ones but what would we do if they really existed ?
I don't know if it counts as "mythical", but I always liked the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland.
I grew up in Rome, and the city's symbol is a she-wolf who was supposed to have brought up the two founders of the city: Romulus and Remus. It'd be cool if that story was true...
Then there's Greek mythology, my favorites from History class at school were Medusa, The Hydra, and Cerberus.

I was going to say the Pegasus, but then I thought about their equivalent of bird crap falling on my car. (cringe)
