I'm usually pretty optimistic about things. There are certain things that I'm very cynical about though.

I'm more of an optimist. I always have to find a silver lining somewhere!

Always the full-blooded cynic. Maybe I should have never let my life experiences turn me into this.

Defintely more of a cynic, but that doesn't mean that looking on the bright side is never called for. Being negative all the time (which I'm not) is not the same as being realistic.

An optimist is somebody who goes to a restaurant, orders oysters, and expects to find a pearl in one of them. A cynic expects to choke on it.

I'm a perennial optimist. Haven't found any pearls yet but I'm still looking.

Well, I can usually pull victory from the jaws of defeat when necessary, but I tend to expect that nasty animal to be almost constantly present whether or not I can actually see him.

Janis, I took the pony for a walk. However, he found a friend and now he has a sleepover. He should wander back your way tomorrow!

I tend to Try my hand at being optimistic, but I have issues with weltschmerz. I tend to glamorize or build things up much more then they could be in my head.

Because of this I have learned to be a realist. Often I find people equate this with being "Cynical". I don't believe this to be an accurate depiction, but C'est la vie.
