I can think of a couple.

Americans are all wealthy.

Australians all look like Crocodile Dundee.

The English bathe weekly whether they need it or not.

Geezers (and geezeressea) are all ga-ga.

All true Republicans think Donald Trump is the Second Coming.

Those stereotypes are self-evident as I'm sure everybody knows.

Hi DD, Its here and its sad. Someone years ago, there was a TV show that showed an area and its peoples and housing.
They ask which third world country? Lots of answers.
Turns out it was Newark, New Jersey.
Another, it was the Appalachian are in our good Ole USA.
There are many areas in the US that resemble third world countries and hungry and sub housing.
I only touched on the tip of the ice cube in my own childhood poverty. My childhood was extreme hardship and pain. It was not better than the half the world. I was able to escape it at 17.
Tragic in a very very wealthy country.

So glad you got through it Jan. Coincidentally I was reading about the poverty of NJ only yesterday. In a novel, there was a reference to jokes about the Turnpike and I was curious enough to check it out. Dreadful stuff.

There's a whole list of them here and I think a few are mostly correct but there are a lot of them that are way off base. Select a few and think about them.

Interesting list. It took me back to the 1950s when many people held lots of those to be true.
