In "Green Eggs and Ham," it turns out he does like them! What's something you like that you thought you wouldn't?  It doesn't have to be food.

Tomatoes. I wouldn't eat them until I tasted them when I was around 20 years old.

I love that too. I usually slice it about 1/2 inch thick, slather them in olive oil and toss them on the grill when almost done, I sprinkle some Italian bread crumbs and some grated parmesan cheese on them.

Dogs. I was a cat lady. I was given a dog, and now I don't know how I could have ever lived without them. There is nothing quite like being loved by a dog.

When I was pregnant with my daughter I couldn't get enough sauerkraut . It was so weird how much I craved it. Then the second she was born, the craving went away. Since the other craving was watermelon that made for a weird combination.

Well Dear Happy,

For me it was...jazz.

Grew up with the Scandinavian folk music of my heritage, plus C&W. Disliked even the thought of jazz, blues, or classical...

Then my lifelong friend Gonga, a wonderful soul brother from the Louisiana bayous, introduced me to John Coltrane A LOVE SUPREME, and I was hooked forever.

But just now Googling I was amazed to see that A LOVE SUPREME is considered "easily one of the most important records ever made," expressing the spirituality that freed Coltrane from drug and alcohol addicition. And from there, I moved into a love of Beethoven, Bach, Stravinsky, Vivaldi...well for me, Coltrane opened a whole 'nother dimension of being.
