Tomatoes. I wouldn't eat them until I tasted them when I was around 20 years old.
In "Green Eggs and Ham," it turns out he does like them! What's something you like that you thought you wouldn't? It doesn't have to be food.
Squash
Dogs. I was a cat lady. I was given a dog, and now I don't know how I could have ever lived without them. There is nothing quite like being loved by a dog.
I don't think I can say on this website. ;p also Brussel sprouts.
I chose a woman instead of a dude.
I didn't eat lasagna for years because I thought the cheese was weird. I tried it again when I was 17 and I actually enjoyed it.
Sauerkraut ! Wouldn't touch it as a kid but love it on Hot Dogs now !
Well Dear Happy,
For me it was...jazz.
Grew up with the Scandinavian folk music of my heritage, plus C&W. Disliked even the thought of jazz, blues, or classical...
Then my lifelong friend Gonga, a wonderful soul brother from the Louisiana bayous, introduced me to John Coltrane A LOVE SUPREME, and I was hooked forever.
But just now Googling I was amazed to see that A LOVE SUPREME is considered "easily one of the most important records ever made," expressing the spirituality that freed Coltrane from drug and alcohol addicition. And from there, I moved into a love of Beethoven, Bach, Stravinsky, Vivaldi...well for me, Coltrane opened a whole 'nother dimension of being.
