Dear Anonymous,

Wish I knew a bit more the frame of reference for your Q...because this can be approached as one of those philosophical questions for the ages?

Giving it my best shot, first of all yes I do think there IS certainty, but not sure what that is, or how to put it in words...

That there is somehow a ground to our Being.

Since we base most of our interaction with reality off of our ability to use touch, taste, hearing, smell, and sight to interpret our surroundings then it is quite possible what is "Certain" is specific to how our brains work. It is best to establish those things we "Consider Certain" with a large group of people to gauge the reliability of our own "Powers of Perception" . . .

Thus far, my powers of perception have proven reliable, and I use them to determine what is the current level of knowledge that I have access to.

Certainty is a an interesting concept . . . We all do the best we can to determine this. The list is long  . . . As is the list of those things we are uncertain about.

Certain---knowing that something is true or will happen and having no cause to feel that it may not be true or may not happen; having no doubt.

For me, given that definition, there are numerous things that are certain.
