A humane mousetrap made of two cupped hands on the ends of metal arms. They snap together, imprisoning the mouse without harming it. I'd call it a clap trap. I write a lot of that. :)
And I once invented an art form called Cheryllian Schematics. Cheryl was the bar girl on duty that night and the schematics were the patterns you make with the bottom of your glass in the puddle of beer on the bar. All I had to do then was sprinkle it with coloured cement, wait for it to dry, and I could have sold the originals for a fortune. It's was the bar owners that nipped it in the bud. I never found one who'd let me near his bar with a chain saw. Bloody philistines, the lot of them.
