If you are able to go to the Holocaust museum in Berlin, Germany, at the Alfred Nobel exhibit, there is a presentation card that states that Alfred Nobel was of Jewish descent. However, this may not have made him a Jew. This is the only information we were able to find about Alfred Nobel's religious affiliation.

  • Background Information of Alfred Nobel
Alfred B Nobel was born in Stockholm, Sweden, on the 21st of October, 1883. He was born the youngest child to Caroline Andrietta Ahlsell and Immanuel Nobel, and had three older siblings. He later died of a cerebral hemorrhage at the age of 63.

  • What Inspired Alfred Nobel To Want To Create the Nobel Prizes
Although famous for his invention of dynamite, Alfred Nobel is most famous for the award that takes his name, the Nobel Prizes. Eight years before his death on the 13th of April 1888, Alfred Nobel read an obituary. Although it was written about his brother Ludwig, it listed Alfred's achievements instead, making it seem as if Alfred himself had died. In the obituary, it highlighted Alfred's heinous act of inventing dynamite, and the suffering it had caused. This led Alfred to want to leave a better memory and legacy behind than what had been published in his brother's obituary.

  • What the Nobel Prizes Represent
On the 27th of November 1895, at the Swedish-Norwegian Club in Paris, Nobel signed his will. The major emphasis of his last will and testament was the allocation of the majority of his estate and fortune, to establish the Nobel Prizes. The Nobel Prize, nowadays,  is a huge achievement for any person, with achievements in physiology, physics, medicine, literature, chemistry or peace. It is a symbol of one's distinction in their field. Nobel Prizes are awarded every year, without any form of distinction, to promote the peaceful use of scientific discovery. Each prize winner receives a medal depicting Alfred Nobel, a cash prize, and a personal diploma.

Alfred Nobel was a lutheran, although his father's name is Immanuel Nobel. I have confirmed it from the book " The man behind the prize" by Jack Irwin. The book is very old one but I can give its ISBN number if required.Hope it answers your question.
thanked the writer.

The question is if he was "of Jewish descent", which normally means if he was from a Judaized Khazarian background, regardless of what religious identity he had acquired at the time. And the answer is yes. That is why one out of every five laureates today is "of Jewish descent".

But to be precise  Nitroglycerin was not "invented" by any Nobel
Family Nobel just manufactured this product. It is a big difference.
