I think its there to watch over you. Like one time I went to a church retreat when I was a teen. When we came back, it was late at night and I had to walk home several blocks. It was not a good neighborhood to be walking alone. I was really freaked out, then from the corner of my eye, I saw this large wolfish looking white dog. It stayed a couple of feet behind me the whole time until I came to my house. I wanted to give him/her/it some water so I tried to coax it to come over, but it stayed at a distance. I thought it was odd so I gave up and walked through the front door.  I glanced back through the window to check if the dog was still there. Once the white dog saw me, it turned and trotted back the direction we had came from. It was an odd experience.

Generally a white dog is seen as good luck, but that is usually in reference to the business world.  In my opinion, if you are seeing this on a regular basis then you are probably just surrounded with good luck or you have a business deal coming up soon and you may just have good luck in that aspect only.

My own advise is that you should pray over it or try to consult your pastor or any pastor around your area because I don't believe it is a mere or physical thing so I think it should be handle spiritually with prayer

To see a white dog is tragic for you. If you see it 4 - 5 times a day that gives you a time line of how long you have to live. Its waiting to take you. A lot of people suffering deep depression bouts that are on the brink of death see either white dogs or white wolfs. It could also mean good luck :) you choose

I was driving looking straight ahead then out of no where a dog was in the middle of the road standing sdeways but looking at me.  I slammed on my brakes and slid sideways and punctured a tire! The dog didn't run out of the way or seem surprised or scared....I was feet from him!  He slowly walked out of the road once I got out of the car.  It was creepy!

I have never heard of this superstition before. In India if a cat comes in the way when you are going for a important work, then it is considered as a bad omen.
