Problems here. The greatest good for the greatest number can leave a sizable minority in a very bad way. Utilitarianism is rather old hat. The interesting work, as always, is being done by science. Biology. Anthropology, to a lesser extent, but, basically, neurology, neuroscience, behavioral biology and evolutionary biology. Looking for the evolutionary and neurological basis of ethical and moral behavior.
