While Black magic exists, they are usually coincidence or the person who does it allowed the Devil to control them. I insist that people who do these things and things like mediums etc to not do them. Amulets are simply 'jewelery' but the myths that follow them aren't true. I had a friend who says they visited this house (they are Christian) and these women who lived there practiced witchcraft and black magic via the Devil and they tried to cast a spell over the visitors (my friends). They said they all started feeling frightened inside and prayed and God helped them and something must have happened because the women stopped because they got scared or something - it was a long time ago. Anyway. As for your job and girlfriend you can always get a new job and make a new girlfriend. If it makes you feel better, good luck in getting a new job and finding a new girlfriend.
