I was deeply disappointed that in all my many years working for the government, in a position of some responsibility, no-one ever tried to bribe me.

When I worked for a commercial organisation in Nigeria, bribery and corruption were a way of life. Nothing of any consequence happened without a little "greasing of palms" - it was called "dash" and is deeply ingrained in the culture. It is similar in Kenya too.

A total waste of one's energy...a total destruction of society and a total death of one's honesty!

I LIKE "destroyal", so much better than "destruction" - I don't know if it's a real word. If it isn't, it jolly well ought to be. :)
