I doubt it. Sex is for reproducing and that won't be needed in heaven. And personally I don't think we will have our physical bodies in heaven, so nothing to have sex with.

Oh!

Sorry, S.C.

We sort of...'brushed by each other', so-to-speak.

I noticed your posts occasionally, but lately I only remember encountering one post.

I thought I added a 'help' vote to one, but we didn't actually cross paths, did we.

I think...I sent you a brief comment or two, but not recently. That would've have been quite a ways back.

I recognized you, immediately, however, when I started poking around on Blurtit.

I'm using the same name and picture, although I had to change the digits to letters.

Darkmajinn and I have engaged in both some 'scrappy' digital exchanges, and some great conversations.

Kaesie and I tend keep each others good-natures cultivated.

Lots of interesting people on Ask, too bad the Titanic is taking a nose dive!

Good to encounter another familiar face.

Sincerely, Dash21

Depends on which "Heaven" you believe in, I guess.

According to most Christian sects - there is no marriage in Heaven.  And since sex outside marriage is a "sin" - and there is no "sin" in Heaven - it follows that there would be no sex in Heaven.

When I die and go to Heaven, I do want God to send me to the gates of Hell so I can see what it would be like to go there permanently ..I am going to Heaven to see my Maternal Grandma that's all I need hell with the rest of them. But I see no need for sexual intercourse in Heaven. If i die as a male virgin I am now than that's God decision not of mine..

I wouldn't imagine that there would be. Whenever the Bible mentions the origin of spirit creatures, they're always "created." Also, sex is a uniquely Earthly activity because we don't have the ability to procreate without intercourse. Females are uniquely Earthly, the first being created from Adam. God can always make another angel without assistance.

Well that WOULD be one of the main reasons for going . . . So . . .

If there is no sex . . . . Then why go?

According to Genesis Chapter 6, spirit "sons of God" left their dwelling place, to materialize upon the earth, and experience physical reproductive activity, which was not intended to be an outlet for their abusive pleasures.

In Chapter 7, Jehovah destroyed them!

Their abuse of freedom, is noted as being part of the reason God decided to clear the earth of its inhabitants.  These disobedient "spirits" fled, when the waters forced them to abandon their unauthorized living arrangements.

Apparently, they found the "daughters of men" (Genesis 6:2) unusually appealing, since no "daughters of God" are recorded as existing, alongside those spirit "sons of god", who passed themselves off as "sons of men".

Their desire to mingle with the "daughters of men" and experience sexual passion, became so strong, that they tossed away their right life, and and any hope of approval by Jehovah God.

Interesting record.

"Interesting record." Hardly a record, and "interesting" is not a word I would have used for myth... "Great Imagination" is one that works.

Hi, DM!
I'm just poking around a little, checking out the migration, don't know how long I'll stay, yet.

I haven't yet figured out how to efficiently use this platform, yet, either.

Well, rolling up my digital sleeves, to do battle with master.....

No, just kidding.

...It's a record that is subjective to whether or not one decides that Moses' account had credibility, or not, I would say.

There are a lot of religious myths, that is true.
There are scientific myths, I would say.
Myths of philosophy and personal bias.

Personally, I would say that the common belief that Euro/Roman Christianity stretches back to Christ, is a myth, since Judaic Christianity hardly resembles it all.
Providing one does not view Christ, himself, as a myth, some do, of course. That view, is subjective, too, since considerable evidence is available to suggest he did.

recorded text, is a record.
Its validity- on various levels- is subjective; but can be objectively approached; still being 'subjective', of course.

'Interest'?
That concerns the individual, who may even find 'myth', interesting, and surprising.

Validity?
I find the history and heritage of Christendom interesting, but also disturbing, and not reflective of the Judaic/Greek record.

'Imagination' is a tool for reconstructing mental images of events, which is probably its primary function; even though it has been overly-employed to produce entertainment.

Your comment sparked considerable reflection, I welcome it.

Think of the implications of eternity and endless procreation. What challenges might you have if you could procreate, with limited space, for all eternity? That would appear to be an open question.

I think sex is a drive given to humans for the preservation of the species, and that when immortality is possible, procreation is possibly counterproductive. Yet if we have gender, i suspect we will find ways to use it, perhaps unrelated to procreation. Or at least inconsequentual.
