Sure. There's an urban myth of civil war age tunnels that lead throughout the city's vast underground. Some people believe it and others know better; however kids still often get trapped in the sewers yearly searching for the tunnels. One side says that the tunnels lead between Union forts and others say the tunnels we're for the underground rail road. Neither are true.
Indeed such a tunnel, one at least did at one time exist, but no longer does. Two centuries ago when this city was villages dangerously sharing land in Indian Country there was tunnel for evacuation purposes in case of an Indian raid. That tunnel lead a fair distance away to a guarded safe house. Neither of these places exist anymore however.
It's just good history these days...but the tunnels are still just a Myth. A true myth really as they really we're based on an actual place and just exaggerated.
