If our society is profoundly sick and we should refuse certainly. The insinuation of activism seems to be that it is others who require correcting their course. Society does have its own problems like offense, poverty, conflict, pollution, overpopulation and political corruption.

We sure do and it doesn't look like its going to get any better any time soon.  Its out of control with all these shootings, Terrorist attacks, beheadings, killing of children and women, racial tensions, etc.  I'm afraid only God will be able to fix it now as there appears no way any man can now.  God help us all

If you understood the bible like you suggest that you do, the scripture I gave you would have ended the conversation

Do whatever suits, you . If anything you sound like somebody not to talk. Jesus was very explicit in his instructions for people like you.

Pro 26:4,5 – (4) Do not answer anyone stupid according to his foolishness, that you yourself also may not become equal to him (5) Answer someone stupid according to his foolishness, that he may not become someone wise in his own eyes.

Matt 7:6 – Do not give what is holy to dogs nor throw your pearls before swine, so that they may never trample them under their feet and turn around and rip you open.

Pro 29:9 – When a wise man enters into a controversy with a fool, There will be ranting and ridicule, but no satisfaction

Not really. Compared to our history, we're doing great. Life in Europe during the Dark Ages where everyone was ruled by centralized religion had a non existing society, people lived in shacks and walked in their own poop. Ghenghis Khan killed a total of 40 million people and badgered so many culture that the Islamic world today resembles the Christian world of yesteryears.

How many Incas did Christian Spanish Conquistadors kill?  Here, have some smallpox.

I think they might have meant a perverse world, not so much a violent one - for example there are vending machines in Japan that sell used girls panties.

Yes I agree and it basically is that way because of the decision to not let our creator tell us how to live. Man has decided that he can do better on his own rather than accept the loving guidance that our creator has given. Down through years that direction was always suitable for the need at the time.

Have you any evidence for any of that? Have you any evidence for a "creator"? Can you tell me (or anyone) how the religious wars sit with "loving guidance"? Has religion ever contributed ANYTHING to the human condition, ever, anywhere, in any way?

You are making reference to the religious wars of Christendom.
And the histories that have been heavily influenced by Christendom, and other religions.

Jehovah's Witnesses, in contrast, are non-political, non-violent and non-commercial.

And have absolutely no record of violence or bigotry, in their history.

Neither did the Judaic Christians.
Christendom did not exist until the 4th'century, and was a European development.

Yes .. We do .. But don't discount the level our human race as delved into in the course of our history.  Think back throughout history .. The dark ages and beyond.

Where stupidstition caused people to commit unspeakable cruelties against humanity, for regular routine activities not just war.  Where people were routinely tortured, not just killed .. Because it was an acceptable form of sending a message to your enemy or to someone who broke the law of a kind or of the land. Crimes against humanity is nothing new .. Even in Biblical times babies were ordered to be slaughtered, and a form of execution was crucifixion...

Yes indeed! The world as we know it today is—deadly, violent, sick, and wicked. We are seeing what was long ago foretold in the Bible: “Wicked men and impostors will advance from bad to worse...” (2 Tim. 3:13) The bible book of Revelation chapter 12 verse 12 explains: "Why the world is sick". Satan’s entire world system—a product of his way of governing—has repeatedly and consistently failed over the centuries.

In 1991, the newspaper The European noted: “Is the world sick? Yes, indeed, but . . . Not by [an] act of God—the world’s illness was inflicted by its peoples.” How true! Influenced by Satan, our first parents chose human rule over rule by Jehovah God. They thereby set in motion a way of governing that was bound to fail.

The pain and misery experienced by people worldwide are signs that human rule is afflicted by a dreadful illness.
