Are fortune cookie fortunes real? I got two fortune cookies that said kind of the same thing. Does that mean it will really come true??

Sorry ! But no ! It just meant they were made all at the same place. If all the things they said came true, it would be nice ! But alas! No.

No. It does no good to seek guidance in life from fortune cookies. One reason is given in The World Book Encyclopedia: “Such a belief may rob a person of trust in himself and his own ability. He may begin to look on himself as a ‘pawn of fortune’ who cannot change his fate. He then may lose ambition.”  You do not want to become its "pawn", do you? Therefore, fortune cookies nor fortune telling of any kind can provide sound guidance for everyday life and a sure hope for the future. That information is found only in the Holy Bible, which is truly “inspired of God.” (2 Tim. 3:16; Ps. 119:105; Isa. 46:10) It is study of the Word of God, therefore, and not the consulting of fortunes that will truly help you in your life.
