People are so busy these days… They hardly spend time enjoying themselves, because most of the days, they are rushing here and there, they have deadlines to respect, etc.! It’s sad, isn’t it?

I never want an extremely busy life. I always make time at night to chill and relax with my dog. A time to do nothing. Of course, it's just me so it's a bit easier without having to worry about other people.

Most of us lead very busy, often hectic, lives. Relentless pressures of modern-day living require that we put forth constant effort just to keep pace. Husbands and fathers must meet pressing obligations to their families, employers, and others. Wives and mothers must look after the household needs of their families and often have to work secularly. Young people also are under pressure to keep up with certain family obligations while acquiring an education that will prepare them for a productive role in society.

I think "busyness" has actually been the same except for we just notice it more now a days cuz we crave moments with our family. We just traded our busy days with farm tractors and horses to technology and car's.

Cavemen did it too---the name of the game is survival.

But it's not necessarily true that they don't enjoy themselves. I stay busy, but it's by choice.

Nothing sad about my life---guaranteed!

We have more leisure time now than during any period of history. There are some who drive themselves but, for them, that's also a form of pleasure. We're all different.

Me? I'm having a ball.

Yes and that is because most of us work at least 40 hours a week, 365 days a year, give or take a few holidays, for the majority of our lives before our bodies give out and we are buried six foot under.

Hunter gatherers actually worked less than us and had much more leisure and family time together.  They lived freely on the land, and so didn't have to work to pay tax, and every other modern day financial burden. They spent a few hours a day hunting for fresh food and the rest of the time they had to themselves. People may argue that they didn't have the same health care as us, but then they didn't have so many people living in close proximity either, and it is proven that nomads get sick far less than we do and are healthier.  They may have not had all the vaccinations like us, but their quality of life may have been better, unless you consider a quality of life is the one described above. We a "civilised" (domesticated), populous have lived on this earth approximately 10.000 years and look what we have done to it, hunter- gatherers lived here for at least 75,000 years before civilisation sprang up. Serfdom never left us, they just added a few frills. We don't even get boxing day or Sunday's off anymore,  If you want more holidays choose a religion that has the most.

Hello Daniel! I might be busy, but I always find time to play my favourite platform game: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/electricity-game-dashes-high/id963759829?mt=8 . However, I only spend about thirty minutes playing and I then turn to other pastimes. Watching YouTube videos is also part of these! If you do not find what you need on the website, you can always get a Netflix membership! Otherwise, here is a board that I often refer to for ideas or activities to get into: https://www.pinterest.com/explore/self-improvement-tips/. If you need some tips when it comes to time management, I hope that all of the above will help out!

Sad ??? Yes .. And .. No.  Much depends on what we are 'busy' doing.

Back in my younger days, I was busy raising a family, working full time, running a household .. Yes, it was a busy time .. But my hubby and I  worked hard for a reason.  However, I have to say we always made time to spend with out kids doing fun stuff. Boating, fishing, snowmobiling in winter, camping etc etc etc.

Then my family grew up, and started having families of their own .. Then I was busy working full time, running a household and spending as much time with our grandbabies as I can.

Now I am retired .. And still stay quite busy .. Still running a household, and spending time with our family .. But, I can now sit back a see what we've accomplished (my hubby and I) .. We raised our family to be responsible and mature individuals that are also living very busy lives raising their own families...and I couldn't be more proud of that accomplishment
