Aphrodite was a Greek Goddess who, according to mythology, was born in the sea off the shore of Paphos, Cyprus.

She would have lived on Mount Olympus with the rest of the Greek Gods and Goddesses, although she is often pictured travelling around various parts of Greece.

Where did Aphrodite live?

As a Greek Goddess, Aphrodite would have spent most of her time on Mount Olympus (a real-life mountain in modern-day Greece).

Aphrodite was one of the most important Greek deities, and represented love, beauty, and pleasure.

Although she would have been based on the infamous Mountain of the Gods, mythology states that she often visited the land of the mortals.

In one notable tale, Aphrodite engaged in a relationship with a human being, Adonis, who she often visited on earth.

Where was Aphrodite born?

According to legend, Aphrodite was born in the sea - and is often depicted travelling to land on the shell of a scallop (it's a good thing she never had to apply for a passport!).

Controversially, her conception came about when the God Cronus cut off the genitals of fellow deity Uranus. When he threw the dismembered phallus into the sea, Aphrodite was born.

Well, she was born in Cyprus beach or from the Gods... Some suggest she lived with the Gods and never lived on earth.
