The word rapture means to be "caught up". This is a term used to describe what will happen when Christ returns and its not mythology, which is a secular term. The Revelation of Jesus Christ is a book that is not taken seriously b/c of its deep prophetic coding. Most are too afraid to open it up but the Lord said "Blessed are the readers of this book..". The term is actually accounted for in 1 Thess 4[15 According to the Lord's own Word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left til the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep(temporary rest). For the Lord Himself will descend with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will arise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be "caught up" together with them to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the lord forever. This is certainly not myth, as that is the term for cultural fables and old wives tales. This is real deal. The world can't believe it b/c they don't have the Spirit of God dwelling within them(1 Corinth 2:12-14).
When the believers are caught up and the dead in Christ rise up into the Heavens with JESUS CHRIST.
To be caught up in mid air with Jesus in the twinkling of the eye
The Rapture is a concept in Christianity relating to the return of Jesus. The primary passage describing the rapture is 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17, in which Paul cites "the word of the Lord" about the return of Jesus
to gather his saints. Although all Christian denominations believe in
Christ's return, there are two primary views regarding its nature:

The Rapture is an event in Christian mythology, laid out in the book of revelations in the New Testament. It occurs as a precursor to Armageddon. It is an instantaneous event, experienced simultaneously worldwide, when all of the "true" Christians and whisked away corporeally to heaven, leaving the rest of us down here to suffer the end of times.
It's a Pentecostal myth.
