There has been a lot of controversy around the significant date of the 21st May, 2011, as this was the day when the world was going to end according to Pastor Harold Camping. The 91 year old proclaimed that there would be a series of earthquakes starting on this very date where the good people in the world would be raptured and taken up to heaven, while the others would perish.
This has now been delayed until October 21st as the crazy prophecy now predicts this will happen on this particular date. The theory for these revelations comes from two numerological proofs.
The first proof is based around the topics and subjects that took place in Genesis 7:4, when God said to Noah: "Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made."
This means that when the Lord referred to seven days, he meant both seven days and seven thousand years, because "one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." The flood occurred in 4990 BC. Seven thousand years later is 2011.
The second proof examines and considers the significance of the number of days between the Crucifixion and May 21, 2011. Apparently it has been calculated that there are 722,500 days between these dates. 722,500 is a significant number because it is made up of the significant numbers 5x10x17x5x10x17. Five corresponds to redemption; ten signifies completion; and 17 signifies heaven. The numbers represent the day of redemption i.e. (5) and the end of the Christian epoch (10) and the ascent to heaven (17), and these factors are doubled for greater importance.
