I Always Wake Up At 3:00 AM. Is There Any Paranormal Or Scientific Explanation For This?

There are several possible reasons for waking up at 3:00am.

However, while theories about sleeping patterns and scientific explanations might go some way to explaining why you keep waking up at 3am, this is also a time of great paranormal importance!

What does it mean if I keep waking up at 3:00am? 3:00am has a special meaning to Christians and the superstitious. In the US, it is referred to as the 'witching hour'.

15:00 is widely recognized as the time of Jesus Christ’s death, so 03:00 is therefore seen as its direct opposite (and therefore associated with the opposite of Christ - the Devil!)

As far as science is concerned, however, the human body sleeps in cycles.

These tend to be around 4.5 - 5 hours of solid (mainly deep) sleep, followed by a lighter (and more sensitive) dream-filled sleep.

Many people wake up between these cycles, but few actually remember doing so.

If you go to sleep around 22:00 - 23:00, then this could explain waking up around 03:00 every night - because that would be the time between your two sleep cycles.

What can I do if I keep waking up at 3:00am?
There are many sleeping remedies, both medicinal and herbal, on the market these days - but my advice would be to see a doctor before taking any form of medication to treat restless sleep.

Melatonin is one of the most commonly-used sleeping aids in the US, and can be bought over the counter in many high-street pharmacies. It is a natural hormone that our bodies produce, so taking it shouldn't disrupt your natural balance.

I Was Baptized Catholic But I Go To a Christian Church Now. Well I Have Been On & Off For Many Years. But I Have To Have Holly Items In My House To Help Me Feel Some Sort Of Peace. Such As Cristal Angels & Jesus On A Cross. Bibles Of Course.
Just Stuff Like That. Not Much Of It. But I Do Have A Cross On Every Room In My House & I Do Have About 10 Cristal Angles That I Collect. I Know That's Not Support To Be Good. So I Hear. But I Can Not Help But To Feel Some Sort Of Comfort In Having Them.

Well, I myself am a Catholic and firmly believe in God. I am only 14 years old and for some reason for the past, maybe 3 years, I have been waking up at 3:00 A.M.

I haven't really tried to find the answer to this problem until now, so I when I would wake up, I would just pray and ask God to help me return to sleep.

Although, for some reason, even though I know that God would protect me, I would always have that feeling that I was in a state of trouble when I couldn't go back to sleep. Last night precisely, I was in a deep sleep when I heard the switch of my desk lamp switch on.

I immediately opened my eyes and stared right at my clock and saw that it was exactly 3:33 A.M. I was freaked out of its preciseness. I decided to try and stay calm and prayed for the Lord's help.

Fortunately, my mom wakes up for work at 4:15, which comforted me even though I couldn't fall back asleep. I am now deciding to try something a little different and read a random bible scripture when I wake up next morning (yes, I know that I will wake up) and see if it will change anything.

Hey everyone, I figured it out!

It's stress related, so take stress & adrenal support supplements and you'll sleep better. I sleep to 6am now, instead of 3am. Its been getting better day by day.

I got mine from the chiropractor I go to. They fixed my migraine headaches too. Also on the spiritual side, if you have some unrepented sins, you might want to confess them too.

3am is a satanic hour, demon use 3am to 4am to mock God, Jesus die in 3pm to 4pm on the cross, so demon use the opposite time to mock God.

You say you've been waking up at that time, you're either spiritually sensitive (it is good to be spiritually active, it is bad to be spiritually sensitive) or you're a Christian.

If you're spiritually sensitive, I suggest you become a Christian. If you're already a Christian, God is using this hour to awake you to pray and fight the demonic power in the world, pray in tongue if you have the gift.

Hope it will help!

It happens to me too, but I wake up with arms and legs pain for no reason!
I am freaking out.

It's not even because I want to pee or something, I just awaken. I open my eyes and then go back to sleep  minutes later.

Happens to me at about 2:30, varies slighty from anywhere between 2 and 3:30.
I've talked to a few and it seems maybe my mind is just tuning into movement of the paranormal nature. It doesn't usually freak me out.

I've studied REM and feel I have a good grasp on what it's about.

There are four stages of sleep.

Stage 1: You are dozing off, your eyes are closed, and you're getting ready to go to sleep. You can easily be woken up and if someone does wake you up you will probably deny that you were sleeping in the first place.

Stage 2: You are asleep, you aren't as easy to wake up, but a loud noise or a nudge will probably do the trick. You aren't dreaming at this point, but your body is unconscious and completely relaxed. You still are not dreaming.

Stage 3: You are in a deeper sleep. A loud noise might not wake you up, but a nudge or the feeling of falling will wake you up. You still are not dreaming.

Stage 4: You are in a very deep sleep. A loud noise or even a nudge probably won't wake you up. The only thing that can wake you up in this stage is the feeling you're going to fall. You are somewhat paralyzed but your body is in a deep state of healing. This is the stage where people can sleepwalk or sleeptalk. Nobody really knows why we do those, but they happen in Stage 4.

While you or anyone is sleeping, the stages continuously shift as follows:

1, 2, 3, 4, 3, 2, 1, 2, 3, 4, 3, 2, 1. I suggest  you Sleep cycle alarm clock through this you get more results about Sleep Cycle .

I've been waking up at 3 (give or take some minutes) for years!! But this past week its been almost every night!!!

I have a very open mind and I honesty believe something or someone is coming to me in spirit...My cousin just passed away and wasn't found for 2 days after he died.

The coroner said he passed aways 36 hours or so before he was found which would have been between 2-4am!!! The first day I woke up at 3am was the day he died!!!!

I was born and raised in the USA, and my family are from anther country.

I started waking up at 3am on the dot for a few years in a row about age 12-15. At first it was just annoying - messed up things happened.

Not to get into details of how or why, but while overseas on vacation, a priestess told me that 3am (my rough translation to English) is the "hour the dead walk".

I ticked off someone, she reversed it, a lot of things stopped (you know what I'm talking about already), including not waking up at 3a.m. Anymore. I don't know what to tell anyone, but DO pray to God and Jesus.

On what I believe would have been my last nights, I called out for Micheal, a few weeks before I was told about this family vacation.

For the past few months, my fiancé has been having nightmares everynight between 2:35 - 3:35 am. He sounds so afraid, like he's fighting with someone or something.

When I try to wake him, he just mumbles incoherently and turns away. He never remembers what happened in these dreams, he can remember other dreams but not the nightmares.
I also usually wake up round about this time, but I wake up in peace. It's like I get a message to wake up so that I can take care of my fiancé. I usually wake up a minute or two before he has the nightmares.

If someone knows what this means, please respond.
I've also been seeing the numbers 1144 a LOT.
