Does Voodoo Really Work?

Yes, voodoo is a real religion practiced in Haiti and a few other countries.  They even believe that they can take the spirit away from people and turn them into zombies...not the movie zombies, but essentially a soulless person that will do what you want them to do.

All this is BS - I was suckered in by www.realvoodoospells.com Real Voodoo Spells took my money, did nothing they said they would do (i.e - video link to casting, confirmation of casting, mail out video disk) NOTHING -- took my money and ran and will not respond to e-mails -- stay away from this fraudulent BS -- it is scam artists preying on those who are looking for that last resort option - unfortunately it is bogus

Voodoo is not from the devil. Before anyone answers a question they should not be so quick to judge. In fact, Voodoo is the oldest religion in the world. And guess what!? We believe in God. It is ignorant for people to say it is from the devil because in Voodoo we do not even have a devil or anything to represent the devil; that is a Christian belief. It is not evil. Just as much good as evil can come from it. The only reason that people believe it comes from the devil is because of what Hollywood made it out to be. Saying it works only if you believe in it is not true either. I am a psychologist and just because my book tells me this does not make it true. People, especially Christians, will be the first to tell you that you are wrong and their way is the only way. Yet they forget their religion was once under attack and millions of people were killing for their differing beliefs.Incredible how easy it is for people to forget..and what would Jesus think of his people going around judging those that are different from themselves?

Hi, I think Voodoo will work, if you believe in it. However, I think it should be used for the good, instead of doing bad things to people. I think if you do evil to people, evil will eventually come back to you. Can't we all just get along and wish each other well. Why are we always trying to destroy each other. Take care!

It is a matter of faith, just as any other religion. If one perceives or postulates it true, then that is their belief and they are entitled to believe as such. It is not fair to state if a religion exist or not. Despite how many stand by what they believe in, every religion should be considered as equivalent in terms of whether it exist or not. It very well may exist, just as it may not. All religion is based on a theory and cannot be proven by no mortal. As I have stated before, it is a matter of faith.

Voodoo Works?

I believe that voodoo and witchcraft etc, are all about the power of the believer. If you believe in something strongly enough then the mind can work miracles. As a catholic I believe in the power of Christ. Whether he works directly for me and through me or whether it is by my own minds power which he has created for me, the end result is the same. The mind can be a powerful tool and I believe it is capable of much more than we know. So, I have chosen the path of Christ to unlock and focus the power of my mind as I believe that this will help ensure that the power is a positive force for good. But, I also believe that focusing your belief system on a more destructive path can release negative mental energies which can be harmful. :)

Voodoo is a religion, and there are people who believe in it. There was a man that was said to have been under a voodoo spell, (another country) everyone thought he was dead, and he came back to life. So they thought him to be a zombie. He said he had no memory of what happened, and how he got where he was. Odd huh? Medically, they suspected that his heart was slowed to a very slow rate of beating, and it gave the appearance of being dead. Eventually the medicine wore off and he woke up.

Voodoo is NOT from the devil. I am a Wicca and we do not believe in Satan or anything like that. I suggest those of you that think so, not answer this question. You know nothing. Personally, I believe in Voodoo because I've had it work on me several times. Yet again, it might be a coincidence but I doubt it. Not all Voodoo is bad. Actually, most of it is good. Yes, there are people who hex others, but I do not recommend it. People who do Voodoo are not crazy. It's just like saying, "People who believe in Jesus are crazy." It's your belief, and we respect that, but please respect us.

It depends. I was reading a psychology book and it said that Voodoo works because people believe it and at the moment when they are told that someone did voodoo on them they start freakin out...so bad to the point where they die.

Voodoo is evil. And is of satan. Please god gives us the sense of discernment to know this already. God is your conscience. Before you asked this question you really already knew the answer. Now our conscience can be influenced by satan. Don't let him what goes around comes around and that rule applys to everyone. What goes up has to come down what the Lord says goes period. Somebody answered saying that it was their religion and what not and you shouldn't judge. That's true. Like I said you know right from wrong. Not judging doesn't not mean to follow stick with what you know. You don't know anything about voodoo, then stay away from it. And everybody no matter who you are you know that god is good all the time. Who wants to practice a religion that can be used for good and evil?so your a target of your own religion and it can easily back fire. So tell me those of you that practice voodoo since you can do good and bad where do you go hell and heaven? Nope just hell. There's only one way to god that's through jesus christ. The devil had a meeting with his demons at the beginning of time and told them we can't stop people from going to church and praying and their daily lives because gods on their minds but what our mission is  to keep them distracted if we keep gods people busy they can't hear themselves think they won't have time to, then that's when we make them our own.  That's what voodoo is a distraction. And a fake. You believe in anything it's true it's the law of the universe not voodoo. Use your head. Doing deeds for the devil will result in wealth and the pursuit of happiness but will always be something too far to reach unless you are down for christ.

Voodoo in my opinion is not the concept of the 21 century although like in many religions or cults requiring faith and belief, the healing power of Voodoo is largely built on on belief and differs from one person to the other and from sect to sect. To some extent Voodoo has been to known to work for many others built on demonic foundations and other mysterious forces that live in the under world. Hope this can answer your question. Good luck.

Man does not know what is in space but african have been studying the stars 10,000 years or more, man does not know what is in bottom of the  oceans but africans have been travelling the high seas 10,000 years or more,man does not know how to live with animals in europe but in africa 10,000 years or more they have,man have only been keeping records maybe some 2,000 years but africans some 10,000 years or more,man have found religion some 2,000 years,but africans have religion 10,000 years or more,man have writen the holy bible,but africans are in the holy bible,I belive god gave the africans the knowledge for voodoo not man because what he does not understand he calls evil and then distroy like voodoo and even the african that have been around 10,000 years...

I read that Voodoo Curses work--and they don't. The people who practice it reallt BELIEVE in it,. And if a VOODOO PRIEST--not sure if that is what they are called---Puts a Voodoo Curse on someone, says YOU  WILL BE DEAD BY NOON TOMORROW--They actually DIe, because they Believe in it, their Mind does it. A person , in this Site, made a comment, that this is a Religion, that it is not Evil, etc, but if someone does put a Curse on someone, such as tells them they will be dead--that is EVIL. Why do they call it a CURSE? Because it IS EVIL.

I am a christian but I disagree with the last post! I believe that their a those that practice voodoo in an evil way just like you can do evil things in any religion but I also believe that there are those that use voodoo for the good! Now in voodooism at least one practitioner I have spoken to speaks of god and his belief in him. Now voodoo is very much real! How do we know christians or wicca or any other religion is real? People say voodoo is fake well how are we so sure our religion is fake? Anyways that's what I go

Hi, I think if you believe in Voodoo, then anything maybe possible. In my life I have seen many strange things happen, but I believe in God. I also believe God is still in full power over the Devil and Voodoo is a practice that the Devil indorses. It will not take over the Universe. I believe only God will prevail. Take Care!
