The training we received as children from devout christian parents and ministers are outdated.  In those days, to parents, ministers made no mistakes.  Today I am able to comfortably say that wearing certain clothes or hair styles to church is of no importance. Dressing seductively is a moral issue and is frowned upon. People today need to focus on what it is that will get others on their walk to eternity. When we stand before the master, I don't think he will admit anyone who hampered another's eternity because of clothes or hair styles when those things are not pre-requests for a mansion in the heavens. People are so hung up on things these days. Too many ministers are using Gods time to preach prosperity and other things that make enhance your life on earth but will stay on earth when you pass to the next life. Just know where your heart is , as does God, and if you are comfortable with you hair styles, you are in compliance with the Father. When we stand before God, we will stand alone, not with ministers, not with prosperity, not with hair stylist, but alone. Strive to make the answer to your call, "yes Lord", and know that He is going to put you where he promised us when we put nothing before Him.
Bless you and best wishes.

There is nothing in the bible that says that you can not, samson had long hair and so did jesus. Many people believe that you shouldnt, but they can't judge you only God can. I don't see anything wrong with it, your hair has nothing to do with your relationship with God.

I am a christian myself and I see no problem with a person of the christian religion geting braids or cornrows. I think the lord don't care what you look like on the outside or how your hair is fixed he just cares if you r with him and believe in him 100 percent.and what you feel on the inside.

Yes I believe this will stand okay with Jesus its not worldly if thats what you are thinking it originated in the afro americans because it is one natural way of keeping our hair in control and it looks good. And besides if its not our hair that it our heart that we should be concern with.

God is a God of variety. Look at nature no two snowflakes are the same.
God does not have one tune on his Ipod!!
God created you unique with your own purpose,
one part of the body of Christ "believers" is the eyes one part is the nose,
one member has a gift of teaching, one member has the gift of helps,
one member has the gift of evangelism. We are different but equally important.
Not everyone is a southern loving cowboy, not everybody is the hip hop chick,
not everyone is the rocker, there is a diversity in the body of Christ,
and there needs to be in the ministry.
Be real, be who you are, and do not be afraid to be who you are.
Your creator made you to be who you are,
God hates sin but otherwise God wants you to be who you are at all cost.
I am an interracial chick, I am part english, part dutch, I am part mexican, part native american indian, I grew up in the south and in the ghetto, moved a lot, I love hip hop, and rap.
I love southern food, I love to mexican dances. I LOVE Jesus I am a christian.
People hate on my raps because I rap about God, and I do not rap about sex or drugs.
I am who I am at all cost and I own it.
One day I rock a yellow dress and high heel shoes,
the next day I rock tennis shoes and sweat suits,
the next day I rock jeans and a t-shirt.
I am who I am at all cost, I own it, and I know Jesus loves it.
Long as I am not sinning. So braids, cornrolls, whatever, wear it, rock it.
But do not be sexually immoral, and so forth.
