If i breathe slower and take deeper breaths when i want to sleep, can I go into sleep paralysis? I've been wanting to lucid dream for a while now. Will this do so?

I have a fascination with all things to do with dreams. I read to go into sleep paralysis you lay flat on your back with your eyes closed not moving in the slightest for 20-30 minutes. I have never tried this but heard it works. Be advised, though- every account I have ever read of sleep paralysis was that it is the most horrifying experience and people don't advise it!

Especially because there are silhouettes dancing around for the entirety. That, and you literally can't move a muscle. My father has experienced this and I have had an experience with a not-so-powerful sort of it

First off lucid dreaming and astral projection are two different things, however there are you can take to have the ability to succeed in lucid dreaming. As you might know lucid dreaming is very difficult thing to accomplish but withenough concentration it might work, so everynight before falling asleep give yourself a good ten minutes to concentrate and think about what you would like to dream about. So that way when you fall asleep its in your head, this trick is called incubated dreaming. It'll gove you a little more control ofthe whole dream thing.

Btw astral projection or out of body experiences are thought to occur at times of physical and emotional trauma. Many researchers tend to dissmiss this idea, but those who experience such dreams say their mind, consciousness or spirit leaves their body and travels through time or spacFirst off lucid dreaming and astral projection are two different things, however there are you can take to have the ability to succeed in lucid dreaming.
