How can you find the right spiritual path? I'm an ex-christian searching for another spiritual practice or path. Recently I've been really interested in eastern religion. But I don't know much about it, and it's very complex. Any ideas?

You might take a look at Shintoism. Lot's of websites and books on the subject. Very interesting. This is from Wikipedia :

  1. In modern scholarship, the term is often used with reference to kami worship and related theologies, rituals and practices. In these contexts, "Shinto" takes on the meaning of "Japan's traditional religion", as opposed to foreign religions such as Christianity,Buddhism, Islam and so forth.

You just have to find the right Sensei .We were taught some in the Green Berets but I learned a lot more on the job.

The instructors at A.I.T. were like that until I met a true Japanese Sensei. He was in my unit and we practiced all the time.

I guess it depends on what you are looking for. Are you looking for a different social setting than what you presently have? Do you want to worship the creator? Are you looking for friends? Do you have a standard that you are trying to live by? I ask this because many people have been turned away from what they called "Christianity" because of the traditions that are taught conflict with a sincere desire to do what is right. You may just want to hear what you creator has to say about worship.

I'd recommend trying the Eastern Orthodox version of Christianity such as Greek, Turkic, Coptic, or Russian orthodox. Its still Christianity so you won't be too far away from what you're familiar with but its extremely Eastern. Of course if you want to completely dive away from Christianity altogether I'd say that Buddhism would be a peaceful choice, however you would have to refrain from sexual contact /:

Try evolutionism

No need for books

Look to nature, it's in plain sight.

I get what you're saying, and i'm not one of those fundamentalists that deny evolution, I accept it as fact. However, I just see that as just the mechanics behind the universe.

I find it sad in our day, too many lament over man’s written scriptures about the Divine. We must remind ourselves that man is known to be fallible, therefore, prudent caution is served when studying man’s written scriptures. One may misinterpret of what God wants; therefore, God gets—and, in some cases, God help us all (72 virgins killing infidels, etc.).

It is true, where all those of faith, believe God created the universe and everything in it, which includes the Laws of Nature. Therefore, the Laws of Nature is the handwriting of God and the scientific method is a way to read God’s handwriting.
Haven’t we come to understand when man morally follows God’s Laws blossoms into the fruits of technology, food production, and medicine, the stables of human existence throughout the world today? A compelling example when our Unalienable Rights are free to morally operate within the awesome machinery of God’s Nature.
