So lately I have been writing in this notebook what my prayers are. Afterwards I feel extremely drained of all my energy. Is that normal?

No that is not normal. Our prayers are personal conversations to God he remembers every prayer, and we are encouraged by Jesus not say the same thing over and over again so there is no need to write them down. Matthew 6:7, "When praying,do not say the same thing over and over again as the people of the nations do,for they imagine they will get a hearing for their use of many words.

No, it's not normal. It's not very serious, either.

Writing in a diary, or in a prayer notebook (and both are similar) shouldn't be tiring. You may be creating tension in your own mind. Why don't you discuss it with your priest/pastor and see if he can suggest something?

Perhaps you are having an emotional reaction to the realization that Prayer is a façade. The overwhelming epiphany that this list of "Wants" or "Needs" are subject to fruition only by causality, situations and circumstances . . . Both within your control, and without . . .

If God were real, AND was the God of the Bible, Prayer is a concept made up by man to appease the notion that God cares and listens . .  An Omniscient and Omnipotent God wouldn't care or listen.
