From the very day Adam and Eve sinned, they began to suffer the consequences of their disobedience. Jehovah expelled them from the paradisaic garden of Eden, and they succumbed to the effects of imperfection, sickness, and old age.
Romans 6:23 The wages of sin are death.
One question often pondered is the amount of time that passed between Adam's creation and his fall into sin. Ultimately Scripture is not explicit on this issue, so no conclusion should be dogmatic.
