Religion and reasoning generally do not go hand in hand; as religion is more often then not based on faith, most often on blind faith. Reasoning in Religion can refer to implementing a level of logic in religious beliefs and basing these same beliefs on scientific reasoning. This may not always be possible as in various matters reason and religions come at logger heads. A gradual reform of religion can however occur which conforms to reason or proven fact. For centuries the Catholic Church believed that the World was flat and opposing this belief branded a person a heretic. Of course when this became a matter of proven fact the belief was altered to conform to the facts. Reasoning in religion also requires a sort of broad mindedness in order to question established norms and beliefs.
