Hazrat Khalid Bin Waleed, the greatest general Islam ever had.Previously one of the worst persecutors of the Muslim Ummah he accepted Islam after the treaty of Hudaibya. After his conversion Khalid devoted himself completely to the cause of Islam.such was the bravery and administration of this loyal companion of the Prophet(saw) that he never even lost a single battle.in return for his services the prophet(saw) awarded him the title of Saif-Ullah (sword of Allah). What he desired above all was martyrdom in the battlefield and although he led several successful expeditions he died a natural death.
He won us a magnificent victory over the Persians and also conquered Hira.

Hazrat Khalid Bin Waleed (R.A) was a great warrior of Islam. He was the son of noted leader, named Waleed bin Mughaire. He belonged to a famous family of warriors. During his youth he had attained enough skill in horse riding and sword fighting. He had also learnt other skills of warfare. He led many expeditions. Hazrat Khalid bin Waleed was an enemy of Islam and embraced Islam after he realized that Hazrat Muhammad (Peace be upon him) is the true messenger of God. After that he devoted his future life in the service of Islam.
Hazrat Muhammad (Peace be upon him) admired the valour and bravery of Hazrat Khalid (R.A) and gave him the title of "Saifullah" (Sword of Allah). He was appointed to command the Muslim Army by Hazrat Abu Bakar (R.A) after the death of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).
He fought in the battle of Yermuk. It continued for three days. At last the Muslims won this battle due to the bravery and planning of Hazrat Khalid Bin Waleed (R.A).
During his lifetime as a Muslim he took part in more than twenty expeditions and did not lose in a single one. There was no place on his body where he did not receive a sword cut or a wound. When someone asked him the cause of his brilliant success in every battle he replied that all of this was due to the holy hair of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW). He used to keep the holy hair in his cap and God gave him success in every battle. Despite his utmost desire, he was not martyred but died a natural death at the age of sixty-one year.
