The Seven Deadly Sins is an interesting subject. Although all seven sins can be found in the Bible, they are only vaguely touched upon and hinted at, you won't find a long list of deadly sins within your bible. This is because the sins, although inspired by several things God is said to frown upon, were actually constructed by somebody else.
The modern concept of the Seven Deadly Sins was actually thought up and written by a monk in the four century named Evagrius Ponticus who actually wrote up eight deadly sins. It was not until just over two centuries later that the list was reviewed and revised to create a more modern and more understandable list that the list then contained seven sins, instead of eight.
The new modern list which is now known by the whole world as the Seven Deadly Sins was re-constructed by Pope Gregory I and these are now famously known after the famous Dante Alighieri whoe used them in his poem, The Divine Comedy.
The Seven Deadly Sins as we know them now and as created by Pope Gregory I are Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Discouragement (Sloth), Wrath, Envy and Pride.
Although the Seven Deadly Sins aren't present in the Bbible, each of the seven can be found in many parts of the bible in popular stories that are very well known, especially in Proverbs and Galatians.
The Bible and its contents (especially its stories involving God and teaching lessons) inspired what we have come to learn as the Seven Deadly Sins, written by Pope Gregory I, but if you want to read the sins in the Bible, you'll find them hidden in the many tiles in the Bible, upon almost every page from start to finish, where they will appear individually.
