Isaiah 43:2 (King James Version)

2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: When thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

(When you are over your head in worrie's,God is with you.
and even though there are tear's in your eye's and your heart ache
God is there to help you he is there.and when you are walking through life and when it seem's that nothing is going your way
You will over come)
It is basically talking about life and what life has to throw at you and God is  saying he is there to help you .

This does not speak about the literal water but the water of trials, afflictions, persecutions, and deprivations God himself will be with us and bear us up when these things come in unto us as a flood of waters to try and sweep us away Jesus will stand up for us and shield and protect us and bear us through the stoms and fire of persecutions of this life.
Jesus was there with Daniel in the Lions den, he was with the three hebrew boys in the fiery furnace, he was with Israel when they passed through the red sea, and the river of Jordan, he was there when David slew Goliath, and when he fleed from Saul.
Today Jesus is with us as we face our trials which assails all around, he is with us all the way and this is comforting.

When you go through trials and tribulation in whatever you do . He's always going to be there never forsake you . No matter how hard things get he is the one you can count on . He says don't be afraid , because I have saved you. I have called you by name , and you are mine. When you pass through the waters I will be with you . When you cross rivers you will not drown .When you walk through fire , you will not be burned nor will the flames hurt you.

Our Father was with David when he had to fight Goliath. It was  the Power of the living GOD! That helped him defeat Goliath , so he will do the same for you

2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; See Exodus 14:21-22, but they saw their deliverance in verses 26-28:  In essence, the Lord was with HIS people THROUGH the waters, which as previously stated is a time of trouble, when literally all sorts of chaos has broken out all around you, but yet the Lord is with you. And at that time, they literally were surrounded by Pharoah's army and the red sea, which without the intervention of the Lord would not be able to pass through.

When thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee: See Daniel 3:23-25: The 4th man as questioned by Nebuch. The king, notice a lowercase "k", who is simply "a king amongst kings", not capital K, who is Jesus the "King of Kings", SeeRev 19:16, in verse 25, is the Lord in this instance being with the 3 hebrew boys through the fire, symbolizing that even though we go through the fire, we are not alone as the Lord is with his people. And since God is no respector of persons as spoken by Peter in 1 Peter 1:17, if he did it for them, he will do it for you too! Aint Jesus awesome?!
