The ant is a simple creature and yet still uses the intelligence which he posses to provode for his household and himself no matter how hard the work is and this is done in the most orderly and discipline manner without a guide to direct the ant or a governor so that food will be stored for the later days.
MAN who is the crowning act of God's creation and has intelligence far superior to the ant is like a brute beast without understanding and has no order or discipline, and many would prefer not to work at all and not to do any hard work and unfortunately they still expects the same privileges and advantages as the HARD WORKING indivdual.
The bible in 1 Timothy 5:8 says "But if a man provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel."

This verse is using the ant as an example or hard work vs. Laziness.  The ant does not have a supervisor  but still gets his work done, and prepares for winter all through the rest of the year.  The lesson is teaching us to not be lazy- refusing to work, slacking off- mooching off others etc.

Ants are very hardworking and organized insects. They gather food and store it, build strong communities and find their place and without direct supervision that we can see, accomplish much. They take care of their own, and do not fight amongst themselves within their communities. We would do well to emulate them.

Sure...it means:  Take a lesson from the ants lazy ones. Learn from their ways and become wise. Though they have no governor or ruler to make them work, they labor hard all summer gathering food for the winter.

Uses an ant as a example on how we should live our lives.  Ants has not one to direct them to completed their task. No supervisor or formans.  Telling them what to do everyday.  We should be like the ants.  To complete our tasks and is given to us and continue with whatever task is there to do without waiting for those in charge to tell you what to do.
