I'm not very familiar with the modern crop of actors but I should think that, as a young man, Omar Sharif would have been perfect. The Christ portrayed in the New Testament was no milk sop; he was a strong man and, like it or not, he looked Semitic.
I am stuck between Jim Carrey and Clint Eastwood . . . .
Why? . . . Why not?
None of them could, because it would take a perfect man to do that.
Rowan Atkinson. Just because.
No idea, because the description in the Bible is a varied one :- "and his feet were like unto burnt brass, the hair of his head white like wool, as white as snow;" (other translations: "burnished bronze"), as if they burned in a furnace..." in a vision Rev 1:13-16).
Isaiah 53:2 which refers to the scourged Messiah with "no beauty that we should desire him" and Psalm 45:2-3 which describes him as "fairer than the children of men."
Lamentations 4:7 "Her Nazarites were purer than snow, they were whiter than milk, they were more swarthy in body than rubies, their polishing was of sapphire: Their visage is blacker than coal;" as referring to skin color.
1 Samuel 16:12 describes David, the ancestor of Jesus, as having "beautiful eyes" or "fair countenance."
Before he cut off his hair I would have said Jared Leto
Not anymore though, his new hair looks awful!
