In the past week, I have dreamt about being pregnant twice. There was never a father in these dreams. I'm single and I've never really wanted to have children but I am only 17. Does anyone know what these dreams could mean?

It can be a reference to new beginings. Since you are 17, are you a high school senior? It could me you have been thinking about graduating and moving out on your own. Think of it as a way of giving birth to yourself. You will no longer ne known as the girl who was whatever in middle school or as someone's sister ot daughter. You will be going out into the world and getting to figure out who you actually are.

At 17 you obviously know that the physical work of carrying new life to term is primarily the role of the mother.

It could simply be your subconscious integrating the conscious awareness of that potential role into your "mind."

Any dream---in and of itself---does not necessarily have any predictive value.  Sometimes our dreams are just the subconscious blowing the sawdust out of the shop after building whatever it was building.

(The subconscious mind is a fascinating thing.)
