There are 6,236 verses in the Quran.

@Msaqib,

Sura (Chapter) 9 has 129 verses, NOT 127.
Rashad Khalifa (who claimed to be a Messenger of Allah) and his Followers removed the last 2 verses of Sura 9 as fabrication ONLY to prove their OWN points. Those 2 verses were NEVER disputed historically.

"Number 19" is a math formula which Rashad Khalifa came up with to prove he is a Messenger. It is NOT an "undeniable fact" because it doesn't add up unless you remove those 2 verses of the Quran.

[Quran 41:42] "NO falsehood can approach it (Quran) from before or behind it: It is sent down by One Full of Wisdom, Worthy of all Praise."
- But Rashad Khalifa and his Followers thinks falsehood already ENTERED the Quran a 1000 years ago! They are trying to say Allah is a liar!

[Quran 6:112] "Likewise did We make for every Messenger an enemy, evil ones among men and jinns, inspiring each other with FLOWERY DISCOURSES by way of DECEPTION. If thy Lord had so planned, they would not have done it: So leave THEM and their INVENTIONS alone."
- we are told to Leave THEM and their INVENTIONS alone, like Rashad Khalifa and his Invention, the Number 19!

Rashad Khalifa is a FRAUD and NOT a Messenger of Allah!

The number 6236 is the exact number of the verses of the Quran. For a mathematical calculation, follow the following link:

The total number of verses in the Quran is 6346. This includes 112 unnumbered Bismillahs which occur at the beginning of the suras. (Note that the first sura has a numbered Basmalah). Without the unnumbered Bismillahs, the number of verses in the Quran is 6234. The mathematical structure of the Quran based on the number 19 makes this number an undeniable fact, and confirms that Sura 9 always had 127, and not 129 as has been disputed historically.

The 6666 verses thing is a common myth.

Then why people said (majority of the People) that there is 6666 verses?? Where is the remaining 432 verses if there is 6234 verses in Quran? And what does that mean surah 9 always had 127 not 129. I didn't understand the methematical structure of Quran? Please give me the answer?

Without Counting of 113 Bismillah = 6236
With Counting of 113 times Bismillah = 6349
